Seek, find and retrieve with Content Finder
Content Finder provides file & document search & retrieval across the network and/or via an Intranet, Extranet or public website.
Content Finder is a major breakthrough in network software designed for the finding, identifying, discovering and retrieving of software assets across a network by their name, file properties, meta–tags, meta–data and within their text content wherever they are located on the network (whatever the size of network).
Whatever it is, wherever it is
Simply by typing in any query all the relevant software assets containing the query are immediately there to access & view from the desktop. Content Finder does not rely on a central server, repository or database – nor on any extraction, re–formatting or conversion – it works with the original folders, files, documents, records, programs, pages, images and scans.
As well as the document or email 'content' (i.e. all the text within a document or email) Content Finder can also recognise all the file properties (file name, title, subject, author, category, keywords, comments, etc.) and email headers ('To', 'From' 'Date', 'Sent', 'Subject', etc ) as well as any meta–tags or meta–data appended to a file, program or document.
Making it easy
Documents can be viewed from the search screen results via their native program (e.g. Word, Excel) or via a Viewer (auto–loaded) if the native program isn't running locally. MS Exchange store emails are viewed in Outlook Web Mail (fully active & operational).
